Our web development service delivers real world, fully working and robust websites that perform well in search engines. The process that we normally follow for a web development is as follows.
Initial Consultation and Proposal
We discuss your requirements and make suggestions and create a project proposal. The proposal will define in broad terms the deliverables and how we will deliver the solution. The proposal will break the project into milestones, this makes the project logical in terms of what is delivered. At each milestone the customer is expected to approve the development. In many cases the payments due for a project are based on the completion of each wireframe. The is very useful if you want to manage your cash flow as it means no 50% deposit is required.
Wireframe
A wireframe is a web based prototype of the site that we will develop. The wireframe can be viewed on the internet and we will review the wireframe with you over the phone. The wireframe is not related in any way to the look and feel of the website. The wireframe is used to describe the functions, pages and interactions that will be developed. In effect the wireframe is a web based requirements specification.Prototype
When the wireframe is approved by the customer we create a look and feel design prototype. We typically allow an unlimited number of revisions. Once the customer is happy with the design we move on to the next milestone.
Development
The development can be split into more than one milestone. If we are creating a content managed site or an ecommerce site we would typically design the database first, followed by the administration panel. We do not use any third party content management systems, we custom build each site, this means we are very flexible in terms of what we can deliver.
The next tasks would typically be the development of web pages and any other functions that are required.
Testing
Our in-house test team will then try to "break" the new development and will test the solution in common web browsers. Any bugs are then corrected.
Live Deployment and Test
We seek the customer's review and will then make any final changes before making the site live.

Background Research
We will conduct research into your products, services, competitors and the target market. We will review your competitors' websites to understand their position in relation to your site. We would need to fully understand your target market, who they are, where they are located, what their websites are etc.
Review Existing Website
An audit of your website will be conducted. We will review your current meta- tags and meta-tag placement to assist in your website search engine placement. Search engines have developed very sophisticated software that searches the content of the World Wide Web on a daily basis.
This software is commonly referred to as search engine spiders because of the way they search out and capture information. If your meta-tags are not optimized, the search engine spiders will not find your pages. If this happens, they then fail to index or rank thus making it almost impossible for your information to be reached and reviewed during a search.
As more and more information is created more and more users are deferring their initial inquires to the major search engines as a way to retrieve information as well as understand website relevance based on the desired and sought information.
We would also need to review and confirm what your website's "call to action" is. This means, what do you want a visitor to do. Make a phone call, bookmark the site, fill in a form, connect with a live help assistant, subscribe to a newsletter etc etc. Whatever the call to action is, your site must make it ever so easy for the visitor to make the action from whatever page he or she arrives at.
We would also test your existing site to ensure it is loading fast.
Any recommended changes to your site would be proposed to you for review.
Identify Target Keywords
We will use SEO databases (example Wordtracker) to suggest likely keywords that should be incorporated into your website. We can then propose copy that can be used on specific pages and then with your approval update the wordings.
A complete and comprehensive review of key phrases and key words as it pertains to your revenue market will be conducted. We will consult with you to select and rank a list of search phrases that are most applicable to the target pages and your targeted demographic.
Review Possible Additional Domain Names
Having a keyword rich domain name is another way to increase quality traffic to a website. We will see if any potential domain names are available that you could purchase and then point to your existing website.
Metatags Creation for all pages
Meta-tags will be written for your homepage and the sub pages within your site. We will write the meta-tags and suggest ideas for new copy on the sub pages. Each page must have fresh, relevant meta-tags that work together as well as satisfy the local market's desire for information.

Open Directory and Search Engine Submission
The Open Directory Project is managed by organic data rescores or "human" editors as opposed to search engine spiders. Each site submitted to DMOZ needs to have the precise keywords and copy for editors to approve. DMOZ (Open Directory) is another part to great rankings and has remained an integral part of rankings. DMOZ adds balance to website propagation and assures that websites can be reviewed in the same format a web surfer might. With the addition of new information daily the DMOZ insists that submission is done correctly and in a precise format. We will make sure this aspect of submission is not overlooked.

Site Map Creation
A site map on your site allows the spiders to better index your site. It also lets visitors quickly scan your whole website. A site map is just a kink and a description for each link. If your site already has then its not required.
Link Popularity Building
Link Poplarity refers to the number of links pointing to your site, from other sites on the web. There are other terms used for Link Popularity, such as Link building, In Bound Links, Back Links, etc The Search Engines consider your site important and rank it higher if other sites link to your site. There are two types of links you can establish on the web. One type is to trade links (Link Exchange), where you give a link from the links Page on your site to the partner sites. The second method is to establish only "incoming links" also called 'one-way links' or 'non-reciprocal links". With non-reciprocal links, you do not need to link back to them.
There are several ways of developing inbound links.
Some of the techniques we follow in one way link building are:
- Submitting to Free Directories
- Writing articles and submitting to various sites for publishing to increase the link popularity of your site.
- Press releases
- Sending requests to established sites explaining about the site quality and asking for links. In the link exchange process, you trade links with prospective partner sites by offering a link to their site from your own site. I provide reciprocal link building services to increase the link popularity of your site.
Site Stats
Assuming these are available from your webhost we will generate a report showing the number of visitors, where they came from (what sites and countries) and what keywords they used to search and find your site. From this report we can apply feedback to the whole process.
We will generate a report and time sheet for the work performed during the payment period.
Services - Web Hosting
Logic Replacement can provide web hosting on its own dedicated web server. We currently have only a small number of customers using our server that is based in Texas. We typically only provide web hosting to customers who use our web design service.
The advantage of using our web hosting service is that we provide the support. We know your web site and unlike most web hosting firms we understand your business and we feel we offer a better level of service.
We do not offer "unlimited" disk space as many of the larger web hosting providers do (check the small print, its not really unlimited). But we do offer a great deal in terms of looking after you on a personal level.

If you are an existing customer or if you have an ongoing or ad-hoc requirement for website changes then please consider our website maintenance service. For our existing web design customers we can offer free minor changes for a small monthly fee.
